There are over 250 different species of Geranium, and even more that are cultivated. Documentation of its early uses medicinal use is difficult to find but its highly aromatic leaves and flowers have been incorporated into perfumes for hundreds of years. Since the practice of Modern Aromatherapy took shape in the early 20th century, Geranium Essential Oil has been used therapeutically to soothe anxiety, balance emotions, ward off microbial infections, insects, cleanse and detox the skin.
